The clinical examination shows that the upper four front teeth have been restored with porcelain fused to metal crowns with no attention to the very gummy smile. They appear like chiklets
These metal ceramic crowns are very bulky. Because of the supporting metal, the teeth have no translucency
It was decided to replace these crowns with all porcelain crowns
The patient was referred to the periodontist for clinical crown lengthening and soft tissue recon touring
Having removed the existing crowns, and re-prepared the teeth, provisional crowns were fitted. These provisional crowns allowed further maturation of the soft tissue and were a blueprint of the final restorations
